Jez Coram is a moving image artist and filmmaker.

Between 1999 and 2005 Jez studied for a Bsc in Multimedia Technology and MA in Graphic Arts and Design, specialising in digital video art production. After leaving education Jez continued to work on experimental video and animation productions. His work has been screened at film festivals in the UK and internationally, including Leeds and Manchester International Film Festivals, Berlin Britspotting, Brief Encounters, Aza Film Festival (Greece) and Portobello Film Festival. In 2008, with financial investment from Screen Yorskhire, Jez wrote and directed the short experimental film Liner, combining live action with stop frame animation. Liner screened at the Mediawave Festival Hungary (International Competition). Jez’s films have been broadcast on Propeller TV and his earlier music videos on MTV2, Kerrang, Scuzz and Redemption TV. In 2002 Jez worked on the Short film ‘Goodnight’ which was nominated for a BAFTA.

Recently, Jez has been working with Freedom Studios on their Street Voices 3 Playwriting Scheme creating video trailers and an artistic piece reflecting the process the new writers went through. Following this Jez created four video snapshots for the production, The Mill – City of Dreams.
